Campus Ministry

“The essential is the interior” - Blessed William Joseph Chaminade

As the heart of the school, Campus Ministry’s mission is to be bearers of Christ to the St. Mary’s Community by providing opportunities for spiritual growth in the Catholic Marianist tradition.

Achieving this mission
  • Through the Retreat Program: we provide experiences that allow students, faculty, and staff to focus on their relationships with themselves, others, and God.
  • Through the Dragon FIRE Service Program: we coordinate a required community service volunteer program that promotes and offers opportunities for all to bring about a more just and peaceful world.
  • Through prayer, sacraments, and worship: we engage in the St. Mary’s Community in reflection and celebration of our relationship with God.
  • Through the Religion Department: we support and evangelize based on the United States Council of Catholic Bishop’s Doctrinal Elements for a Curriculum Framework for Catechesis and require all students to take a Religion course every year.
  • Through the Senior Capstone Project: we guide seniors through a required cross-curricular research and action project rooted in Catholic Social Teaching.

Spiritual guidance and pastoral counseling are available.

St. Mary’s High School is a Catholic, Marianist institution. All religious instruction and practices are presented through this lens. We welcome students and families of all faith traditions to learn about our Catholic Identity and engage in ecumenical and interreligious dialogue.
