Moodle (abbreviation for Modular Object-Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment) is an e-learning software platform, also known as a Course Management System, Learning Management System or Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). Moodle was developed by Martin Dougiamas to help educators create online courses. At St. Mary’s it is intended to promote creative collaboration and extend learning beyond the classroom boundaries.
