"Quality is never an accident; it is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction and skillful execution; it represents the wise choice of many alternatives."
~ Willa A. Foster
Part of the mission of St. Mary’s High School is to help develop within each student “a deep sense of the goodness, self-worth and the dignity of every person,” as well as living out the fifth Characteristic of Marianist Education, “educate for adaptation and change.” The Guidance Department of St. Mary’s High School strives to enact these ideals within the daily lives of our teenage students. Through the development of a working relationship with each student, the Guidance Department helps students come to know they are a Child of God while journeying with them through the changes in their lives from childhood to manhood. By empowering them to self-actualize their academic and personal potential, the Guidance Department works with each student and family to live our mission in their own lives.
