The Learning Consultant Program 
 

The role of the Learning Consultant is to:

• Identify the students diagnosed with a Learning Disability, Attention Deficit Disorder, and other learning differences.

Conduct screenings for students experiencing school failure for the purpose of a diagnostic referral.

Develop a learning profile for each of the students identified with a disability.

Review learning profiles with teachers and provide recommendations for accommodations for instruction, learning, and assessment within the classroom.

Monitor the implementation of strategies by teachers.

Monitor the performance of students and their success with the recommended strategies or accommodations.

Maintain communication and serve as a resource to teachers, parents, tutors, and other professionals outside of the school setting.

Participate as a member of the care team to intervene with students who may be struggling.
