Shadow Program & Tours

Shadow Program
St. Mary’s knows how difficult it is for prospective students and their families to choose the right high school. St. Mary’s is one of 29 Catholic High Schools in the St. Louis area and each one offers wonderful opportunities. St. Mary’s comprehensive college preparatory curriculum is designed to prepare students for college and post-secondary life as well as address the development of the total student; intellectually, emotionally, physically and spiritually. On the beautiful 27-acre campus in the Carondelet neighborhood students will find academic excellence, a vibrant faith community, leadership opportunities and a variety of clubs and athletics. However, it is St. Mary's close family community that stands out among the competition.

In order to experience this family atmosphere, it is important for prospective students and parents to visit the school, meet students and talk to teachers. St. Mary’s shadow program is one way for students to experience what it is like to be a part of the St. Mary’s family.

This half day program begins at 8:00 and ends at 11:30. The shadow program is available on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Transfer students and 8th grade students are welcome year round. Seventh grade students are welcome in January through May. Contact the Admissions Director at 481-8400 x110 or at admissions@stmaryshs.com for more information or to schedule an appointment.

Why St. Mary's?

“My experiences at St. Mary’s have been incomparable. No other school has a closer community than here. Everyone knows everyone’s name. Even the teachers know every student and how each one of us learns. It is this close attention and family atmosphere that have helped me to achieve all that I have during my four years here. I can look back at each step in the National Merit process and recall how Mrs. Klimpel proofread an essay or Dr. Muentnich helped me pick a college major. Everyone here is connected, and I am confident these connections will last throughout college and the rest of my life. The opportunities at St. Mary’s are immeasurable.”  -Tony Puricelli, National Merit Finalist and Valedictorian of the Class of 2010

"...this place is like no other. My son is flourishing and is so happy here. What happens here is so simple, yet so profound. My son is standing tall and growing into a young man. The care and understanding he has received here is remarkable.  I could not be any happier."  -Dana Kramer, Parent of Alex, Class of 2014
