At. St. Mary’s South Side Catholic High School, we know extracurricular activities are important to the success and growth of our students. Research shows extracurricular activities are associated with many positive outcomes for students including higher academic performance, higher self-esteem and lower levels of risky behaviors. It also gives students a chance to develop important social skills such as communication, conflict management, decision-making, teamwork, time management and networking. For students who are college bound, it builds their resumes. At St. Mary’s SSC, we are a small school that provides a safe family atmosphere where students can get involved in new experiences so they discover their own interests and enjoy their high school experience to the fullest.
