NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY

Chaminade Chapter
NHS is the front runner of organizations and societies that promote appropriate recognition for students who reflect outstanding accomplishments in the areas of scholarship, character, leadership, and service. Students who are sophomores or juniors and have a semester GPA of 3.5 or above will be given an application. A selection committee will examine the application for evidence of leadership, character, and service to determine membership.

STUDENT LEADERSHIP

Leadership is a four year program that provides opportunities for students with leadership potential to develop, refine and practice those skills. The program enables students to experience their power to effect change in school and in their communities by exercising leadership through formal and informal activities. The mission is to prepare students to be future societal servant leaders. Students must complete an application and interview for a position in the program. Freshman and Sophomore leaders participate in Monthly hour long seminars and juniors and seniors take an elective Leadership course that emphasizes individual leadership formation, planning and facilitating school programs and interpersonal skills.
