St. Mary’s High School offers a variety of scholarships for incoming students These scholarships are based on the Characteristics of Marianist Education and embody what we believe St. Mary's Men are:

EMBODIED IN FAITH SCHOLARSHIP
  • Student must be involved in a youth group
  • Student must actively assist/serve with worship services at his place of worship
  • $1,000 and renewable every year if student
  1. is in good standing
  2. is current on his Dragon FIRE service hours
  3. continues to be actively involved in his youth group
  4. is involved in St. Mary’s Campus Ministry 
  5. actively assist/serves at St. Mary’s All-School Masses

EMPOWERED BY EXCELLENCE SCHOLARSHIP
  • Student must score in the 90% and above on core/complete composite of standardized testing
  • $2,000 and renewable every year if student is in good standing
  1. is current on his Dragon FIRE service hours
  2. maintains a 3.6 GPA (cumulative and nonweighted)

FAMILY SPIRIT SCHOLARSHIP
  • Student is the son or grandson of alumni of St. Mary’s High School who is active in the Alumni Association
  • $1,000 and renewable every year if student
  1. is in good standing
  2. is current on his Dragon FIRE service hours
  3. maintains a 2.5 GPA (cumulative and non-weighted)
  4. his father or grandfather (if able) is active in the alumni association

SERVICE, JUSTICE AND PEACE SCHOLARSHIP
  • Student is actively involved in service at a charitable/community organization outside of school
  • $1,000 and renewable every year if student
  1. is in good standing 
  2. is current on his Dragon FIRE service hours
  3. continues to be actively involved in the charitable or community organization

ADAPTATION AND CHANGE SCHOLARSHIP
  • Student who has gone through some type of traumatic or life-changing event within the last 2 years
  • Only one scholarship awarded each year 
  • $3,000 and renewable every year if student
  1. is in good standing 
  2. is current on his Dragon FIRE service hours
  3. maintains a 2.5 GPA (cumulative and non-weighted)

St. Mary’s also provides scholarships to students who excel in a particular area. Only one of each of the following scholarships will be awarded each year.

STEM SCHOLARSHIP 
  • Student scores in the 90% or above in Math and Science Standardized Testing
  • $3,000 and renewable every year if student
  1. is in good standing 
  2. is current on his Dragon FIRE service hours
  3. maintains a 3.0 GPA (cumulative and non-weighted)
  4. is an active member of St. Mary’s Robotics Club
  5. is an active member of St. Mary’s Math & Science Club 
  6. participates in Math and Science Archdiocesan Competition

ST. MARY’S MUSIC SCHOLARSHIP
  • Student plays a musical instrument and is an active participant in either his school band or an outside music group
  • $2,000 and renewable every year if student
  1. is in good standing 
  2. is current on his Dragon FIRE service hours
  3. takes Band for 4 years
  4. participates in all St. Mary’s Band Activities

ST. MARY’S FINE ARTS SCHOLARSHIP
  • Student who is artistically talented and/or involved in theatre
  • $2,000 and renewable every year if student
  1. is in good standing 
  2. is current on his Dragon FIRE service hours
  3. either takes art for 4 years or participates in theatre for 4 years

BOY SCOUT SCHOLARSHIP
  • Student who is actively involved in Boy Scouts
  • $2,000 and renewable every year if student (at time of registration)
  1. is in good standing 
  2. is current on his Dragon FIRE service hours
  3. continues to be actively involved in the Boy Scout Program

SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION
 
  • Students receiving scholarships can also apply for further tuition assistance through FACTS.
  • Scholarships may require student to write an essay and/or submit a letter of recommendation.
  • More detailed information about each scholarship can be found on the scholarship applications.
  • Scholarship applications and accompanying materials must be returned by March 1st.
