St. Mary's Theater Program

Spring Play: The Unexpected Guest

The theater is a place where a St. Mary’s student can expect to work hard and feel pride in the work they do. It is an after-school program that reinforces all of the school's core values.

WHO CAN BE PART OF THE THEATER?

Anyone who attends St. Mary’s High School!

WHY SHOULD STUDENTS BE A PART OF THE THEATER?

Members of the St. Mary’s theater program have gone on to do great things at school: They are leaders, Student Ambassadors, and Class Valedictorians. Members of the theater have also utilized their theater skills in the world today. They have become professional actors, technical designers, lawyers, and public speakers. The skills learned from being part of the theater are invaluable and will help students in the future.

CAN I BE A PART OF THE THEATER IF I CAN'T ACT?

If a student is looking for family spirit, he needs to look no further than the St. Mary’s Theater. There are competitive acting opportunities, but there is also work backstage, in the tech booth, and building sets for the show. No other theater encourages students to create their lighting, sound, and stage designs.

HOW MANY PRODUCTIONS ARE THERE EVERY YEAR?

There are two productions a year, fall and spring. Look for audition signup sheets posted throughout the school in early fall and late winter!
